It is situated near the old port on the Riachuelo river, which is where it's name, La Boca i.e. the mouth, is said to have originated. We've never got enough time in this city! Chefchaouen, Morocco Our time in Morocco was dominated by earthly shades of pink and orange, but we love the vibrant blue the city of Chefchaouen takes on. It's been standing in the Rif Mountains since 1491 and there are many varied explanations as to why the walls are painted this striking blue. But ours is not reason why, ours is but to enjoy today!
