The compulsion to make things regardless of the outcome and the resilience to keep going.

Wes Anderson. I'd love to see his movie of my first novel To Live Forever.

Who is the person who has most impacted your creative journey?
My husband Michael T Maher, because of his unending belief in me.

What's your coffee order?
Double-shot cafe latte.

Who makes it best?
My husband makes it best.

If you could be a fictional character, who would you be?
Every character I write contains bits of me. By another author: Jane Austen's Emma.

What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don’t listen to fear.

And finally, what is your favourite colour & why?
Red makes me feel invigorated and powerful.
